Job Description:

To strategise and oversee the functions of Counsellors in AM, which include the development, management and review of the clinical services, care processes, standards and clinical outcome.

To develop addiction counselling programmes, provide training and supervision to counsellors and external agencies and carry out research, as required by the department and IMH.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To set direction and oversee clinical quality, standards and care processes, including case management, for the Counsellors to ensure that quality outcome and patient satisfaction goals are met.
  2. To strategise, plan and implement the clinical services and program for Counsellors in alignment with AM’s goals and objectives.
  3. To develop and conduct periodic reviews, and updates of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services.
  4. To provide regular clinical and professional supervision to all addiction counsellors.
  5. To develop programmes and build a network system with the relevant professionals in the community for better continuation of care for patients.
  6. To contribute to the development and improvement of the service through participating in the development of clinical services through programmes evaluation and audit.
  7. To assist and support strategic projects undertaken by AM.
  8. To participate in department management meetings and project specific meetings
  9. To perform any other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements:

Educational and Professional Requirements

 

  1. At least a Master degree in Social Works, Psychology, Nursing or equivalent in healthcare related field
  2. At least 10 years of working experience of which al least 3 years are in managerial/ supervisory position 
  3. Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor (CSAC)
