Finance Analyst – Pilot Program Initiatives

 

NHG is seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to support healthcare pilot program initiatives within our organization. This role will report to the Group Finance Deputy Director. This role will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and reporting for new and emerging healthcare initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in financial modeling, and the ability to work cross-functionally with program managers, operations teams, and senior leadership. The candidate will also play a key role in coordinating project activities, ensuring timely execution, and managing stakeholder communication.

Job Purpose

 

To assist the Deputy Director, Group Finance in the following:

 

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Develop and maintain financial models to assess the viability and impact of pilot programs.

• Conduct scenario analysis and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to measure program success.

 

  1. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Partner with stakeholders to develop budgets and financial projections for pilot programs.

• Monitor program expenditures and ensure alignment with budgeted expectations.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks associated with initiatives.

 

  1. Financial Reporting & Insights

• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and insights to senior management.

• Analyze variances and provide data-driven recommendations for program adjustments.

• Support executive decision-making by providing strategic financial insights.

 

 

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with program managers, operations, and strategy teams to align financial goals with program objectives.

• Act as a financial advisor to business partners, ensuring financial discipline and accountability.

• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

 

  1. Process Improvement & Strategic Support

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes related to pilot program tracking and reporting.

• Support the scaling of successful pilot programs by assessing financial feasibility.

• Assist in developing frameworks for evaluating future initiatives.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Health Economics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or related roles.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.

 

 

  1. Preferred Experience:
  • Experience supporting pilot programs, new business initiatives, or innovation projects.
  • Familiarity with project-based financial analysis and cost-benefit evaluations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills – ability to track multiple project tasks and timelines.
  • Detail-oriented – ensures accuracy in financial modeling, financial data extraction and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to coordinate with stakeholders and present updates effectively.
