Job Description

As an Executive (Development Project Services), you will be part of a team to ensure that the needs of the hospital stakeholders are incorporated in new development such that the completed buildings are fit for its purpose and function. This will involve coordinating with stakeholders to understand their operational needs and work together with MOHH (including Consultants and Contractor) and involvement in planning and managing all projects assigned to effectively meet the cost, time and quality targets.

 

The scope of work includes but is not limited to:

• Coordinating user requirements between users, workgroups, MOHH and project team from planning stage, construction stage to operationalisation of building, as well as scheduling and documenting the various meetings

• Update and track development projects assigned, project schedule and activities for submission to MOHH and internal planning purposes

• Attending meetings and discussions with users, workgroups, MOHH and project team being involved in review of all design proposals, hospital planning, with special focus on patient care, functional efficiency, and safety requirements

• Assist users to plan, manage and integrate critical resources to develop the best solutions/practices in line with the business objectives and strategies

• Be a change agent and inculcate mind set change for the Development Secretariat level initiatives and establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork

• Attend meetings and discussions with the Consultants and Contractors (If necessary), and documenting all procedures and actions taken for planning and implementation during the construction period including follow up actions where needed on issues raised

• Responsible for preparation of mock-up trials, drawings and plans to ensure functionality and adherence to users’ requirements during construction phase and provide support for testing and commissioning for eventual handover and commence operations of the facility

• Periodic site visits to check that work on site is based on what has been detailed in the shop drawings

• Facilitating materials and product selections by communicating users' requirements during the construction period

• Providing support for testing, commissioning and facilities set-up

• Liaising between users and the Contractor during the Defects Liability Period to ensure that defects are addressed timely

• On project completion, ensure that the as-built drawings for the project are submitted by the Contractor and properly documented for future reference

• Plan, drive and manage quality improvement projecs as wel as provide active support for staff training and eqiupping

• Attend site meetings and provide administrative support in drawings, documents control of the project drawings and records

• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/ Department Head

 

Requirements:

• Preferably a Diploma in Building, Project Management or equivalent 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management of Development Projects

• Well-versed in MS Office applications

• Competent in AutoCAD & Photoshop will be an advantage

• A team player with strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills who works well under pressure and adhere to deadlines

• Experienced in managing, coordinating project, communicating effectively with users, contractors and other consultants and a high degree of initiative

 

 

This role is initially offered as a full-time contract for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal.
