Executive / Sr Executive, Environment Services

The Executive / Senior Executive will be responsible to maintain a high level of service standards in the department of Housekeeping. To assist the Executive Housekeeper in the daily running of the department and maintain a high level of service to the patients and to ensure continuous improvements to work processes for both Khoo Teck Puat and Yishun Community Hospital.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) SPECIFIC

1. Assist to ensure department operates and complies with applicable laws and

regulations.

2. Assess, identify and mitigate risks that may hinder operations, reputation, safety

and financial well-being of the organisation.

3. Assist to ensure review of department policies, inventory, maintenance of

equipment, monitor feedback and manage operational issues, for high levels of

work quality.

4. Assist to ensure optimal use of resources, develop and implement plans to

attract, train and retain essential skills, and to motivate staff to bring out the best

in them and contribute to organisational goals.

5. Assist to ensure staff are well-trained and adhere to regulatory, safety and

infection control standards.

6. Assist to ensure smooth communication between hospital management,

feedback from customers, mandatory authorities, vendors etc.

7. Identify and resolve housekeeping problems encountered by the Environmental

Service Associates (ESAs).

8. Walk the ground to ensure that a consistent high level of service is maintained

including YH Standards.

9. Manage ground feedback and complaints with an understanding of the

mechanisms of the feedback channels so that work processes can be improved.

10. Foster continuous improvement as our way of life by encouraging staff efforts at

improving processes to achieve operational excellence.

 

(B) GENERAL

1. Support emergency operations when necessary.

2. Support all corporate activities and community projects.

3. Carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma and above or minimum 3 – 5 years in service industry/ housekeeping/

healthcare related areas.

  • Experienced in a supervisory role is necessary and important.
  • Knowledge of hospital and service operations would be preferred.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
