STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

 

To assist Senior Executive / Executives in ensuring smooth operation and effective resource management of the Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOC)

 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. SPECIFIC (80%)

 

 

  1. Works closely with clinic users and staff to put in place efficient clinic work flows.  Assists in implementing and ensuring staff adherence to policies set by the Ambulatory Services Department, Hospital, NHG and the Ministry of Health.

 

  1. To manage changes by working with supervisors to develop and plan approaches that help the ground to adjust to changes

 

  1. Supervises staff to support service delivery/integration initiatives. Coaches and mentors staff on their competency development.

 

  1. Works closely with other departments to provide integrated, consistent outpatient care standards across IMH.

 

  1. Handles complaints and difficult request and undertakes steps in service recovery.

 

  1. Assists in operational surveys and quality improvement initiatives.

 

  1. Conducts orientation programme for new staff and provides guidance on system knowledge, clinic operations and service delivery.

 

  1. Drives the service quality related initiatives in Specialist Outpatient Clinics and ensure optimal utilization of resources.

 

 

GENERAL (20%)

 

  1. Carries out other duties as assigned by the supervisors to ensure an efficient and effective service to the patients and public.

 

  1. Responsible for maintaining sound EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), working conditions and practices and ensuring due environmental care and safety of all personnel in the department.

 

  1. Fulfils assignments specific to the job holder

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

 

  1. GCE ‘A’ Level or Diploma Holder with minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably with relevant working experience in the healthcare industry.

 

  1. Demonstrates effective leadership and decision-making qualities in the conduct of meetings and operational situations.

 

  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office application such as Word, Excel and Power Point.

 

  1. Have good communication & interpersonal skills.

 

  1. At least 3 years of working experiences in managing people and co-ordination.
