Job Description:
Support the Assistant Manager/Manager of Clinical & Health Informatics Office (CHIO) in leading operational teams within Health Information Management (HIM) and driving the hospital informatics strategic roadmap through the intelligent use of health informatics to facilitate the optimal delivery of patient care.


Challenges
Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee day-to-day HIM operations providing release of clinical information to patients, next of kin and agencies, ensuring timely and accurate processing of health information requests.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain optimal service levels.
  • Monitor KPIs to assess staff performance and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Streamline workflows to improve efficiency, reduce processing times, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance workflow effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage staff to identify process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards, assisting in policy development and implementation to meet MOH requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and improvement of consumer informatics including health information release to patients and relevant agencies.
  • Oversee manpower recruitment, training and development, and performance related matters.


Requirements

  • General Degree, preferably in Health Information Management (HIM). Preferably 1-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Health information/medical records management experience preferred.
  • Customer focused, service oriented and able to lead a diverse team is a must.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage complex issues and with the ability to collect, organize, analyse and process information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office like Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint a must.
  • Health informatics certification, NGEMR certification, and project management certification (PMP) a plus.
