Executive, YCH Clinical Affairs
The Executive will be responsible to assist in the administration and management of clinical feedback, medico-legal and Singapore Medical Council (SMC) related cases.
Support in the implementation of new medical programmes and services for the patient care continuum in YCH to the community and to support the Yishun Health Level Unified Care Model (UCM) structure.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
1) Manage clinical feedback / complaints from various sources
2) Acknowledge receipt of feedback complaints within 1 working day via telephone
3) Review relevant documentation and write to all involved parties to obtain 'accurate information relating to the feedback / complaints
4) Prepare SBAR, recommendation and submit to Deputy Medical Director / Medical Director for approval.
5) Arrange meetings with patient / patient's family members, doctor and other healthcare
providers to address their concerns.
6) Assist in the management of clinical feedback, medico- -legal and Singapore Medical Council
(SMC) related cases and to review cases as required by Clinical Board.
7) Assist in raising waiver form and invoice to patient/ next of kin, hospital lawyer, insurer etc. as required within the stipulated time frame. Ensure the revised hospital bills are sent to patient in a timely manner.
8) Analyse clinical feedback / complaints to identify recurring themes and trends. Prepare detailed reports on clinical complaints for Clinical Committee meeting.
9) Maintain an updated and accurate database for all complaints received and their resolutions.
(B) ADMINISTRATION
1) Assist Medical Director in supervisory framework
2) Support Medical Director in the development and implementation of the new clinical programmes and the required data supporting system.
3) Provide support to respective Head/Deputy Head/manager of clinical departments on improvement initiatives and patient-centric work processes.
4) Collate and analyse key performance and clinical indicators
5) Responsible for managing, monitoring and controlling identified risk and including the implementation of mitigation plans
6) Manage patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
(B) GENERAL
1. Support the alignment of the department's goals with YH campus goals.
2. Support staff development and learning
3. Support corporate activities
4. Perform additional duties as assigned by Management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Recognised degree.
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare management.
- Well-organised, analytical, proactive and result-driven; excellent interpersonal and networking skils with members from various levels of the public and the government; dedicated to meeting and exceeding goals and objectives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
