Executive, Communications

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an Internal Communications Executive who is dynamic, people-oriented, and resourceful. This candidate should have an eagerness to try and is unafraid to challenge norms. He/she has effective communication skills to inform, inspire and rally different groups of staff. He/she understands strategic organisational objectives and able to contextualize them for various audiences. He/she possesses strong analytical skills and approach challenges with logical reasoning.

The successful candidate will create thoughtful and meaningful content on all internal communications platforms and aim to deliver clear and consistent messages to our workforce. He/she will be involved with campaigns and events management. He/she will also monitor internal communications owned platforms for engagement and adoption. He/she will have opportunities to support the change management of our internal systems.

Content Creation & Campaign Management

• Handles day-to-day execution of communications activities and campaigns
• Supports internal and external stakeholder relations and handles campaign enquiries
• Creates, edits, uploads content (press releases, social media posts, newsletters, graphics, short-form videos, etc.)
• Manages social media channels and intranet updates
• Contributes to brainstorming sessions led by senior team members
• Crafts surveys, monitor uptake and perform basic analysis on the results
• Good storyteller and able to craft relatable messages according to campaign target audiences  
• Works independently to design graphics using editing apps (Adobe/Canva)
• Works independently or with a team to ideate, film and edit videos using video editing tools (Adobe/CapCut)
• Stays current with social media trends and best practices to optimise content and engagement
• Strong understanding of social media compliance and regulations

Events Management

• Sources and handles external sponsorships
• Contributes actively to brainstorming sessions for events
• Coordinates event logistics and handles communications activities
• Provides actual day support
• Assists with guest lists, craft invitations and follow up with guest enquiries

Innovation Management & Chatbots

• Keen interest and willingness to explore and experiment with new systems and innovations
• Able to adapt system knowledge to real work processes to improve work quality and efficiency
• Monitors industry news and trends in technology and innovation
• Supports the production of communication materials for relevant audiences to build a culture of innovation in the organisation

• Able to address frequently asked technical questions
• Drafts bot responses and continuously improve messages for accuracy and relevance.
• Monitors system/platform usage

Platform Management for Dept-owned Assets

• Updates contents accurately and on time
• Manages department’s file systems
• Responds to internal stakeholder enquiries and requests
• Conducts media monitoring and performs good analysis of data to determine reach and engagement

Requirements

• BA in Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Arts & Social Sciences preferred. 
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Communications, preferably in internal communications and social media
• Creative and engaging storyteller who is able to translate complex content into clear and easily understandable content. 
• Strong professional demeanor and comfort in interacting with internal stakeholders and external contacts. 
• Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
• Positive attitude and able to work independently and as a team player.
