Job Description
The Executive/ Senior Executive of the Central Region Trauma Service will assist the Regional Trauma Manager in providing administrative and operational support to the Regional Trauma Director (RTD) in planning and developing the Central Region Trauma Service (CRTS) to achieve its strategic objectives. He/she will assist with the coordination of the institutions under the CRTS to review and harmonise clinical policies to standardise care as well as assist with clinical service development and planning.
Other duties include:
- Assist the RTD in developing a region-wide strategy for trauma service provision aligned with MOH’s developmental plan to meet present and future needs at the national and organisational levels.
- Support the monitoring of clinical indicators and outcome measures within the Central Region to enable quality assurance, national and international benchmarking, and program/ process improvements.
- Monitor of trauma accreditation across hospitals to ensure a trained and competent regional pool of trauma surgeons.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to conduct regular value-added trauma training for undergraduates, pre-hospital, and trauma acute care professionals.
- Conduct targeted and effective community education programs to raise awareness about trauma injury prevention and management.
- Assist in the organizing of meetings and retreats for the Central Region Trauma Committee and providing the Central Region Trauma Manager with secretariat support including writing of minutes, preparing presentations etc.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and above with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare setting with knowledge and experience in operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and data analysis.
- Good analytical, organisational and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently, in a team and external agencies.
- Suitable for a fast-paced environment and able to work after work hours and on weekends when required.
