Driver
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
- To perform all driving duties in a safe, efficient and courteous manner
- To maintain and ensure vehicles are clean and in good working condition
- To report faults and defects promptly
- To co-ordinate transport requests including handling of patient transfers to other hospital
- To despatch or collect urgent requests from/to other hospital or organisations
- To offer immediate assistance to patients/visitors, e. g. directions, wheelchairs etc
- To report to respective on any service gaps
- To ensure preventive maintenance and servicing is carried out as scheduled
- To guide junior drivers in their daily work and assignment if necessary
(B) GENERAL
- To see tidiness and cleanliness of the ambulance vehicles
- To assist Supervisor in projects and service improvement activities
- To assist Supervisor in manpower planning and roster for transport and other duties
- To perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Executive
- To assist Supervisor in training of junior drivers
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Secondary Education
- Ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge is a plus
- Some experience in hospital is an advantage but riot essential
- Between 1 to 3 years of experiences as a medical transport driver
(B) PROFESSIONAL LICENCE
- Class 3 Driving license with safe and clean record
- Optional - Class 4 Driving license will be a major consideration
