Your role will be crucial in ensuring that quality nutrition care services are delivered in alignment with our vision, mission, and strategic objectives. You will focus on nutrition assessment and intervention to meet the needs of patients in primary care, providing comprehensive, coordinated, and continuing care that complements other health professionals and community partners.

 

📝 Key Responsibilities

Clinical - Nutrition Assessment & Counselling

  • Deliver dietary interventions as part of seamless care for patients.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and provide education tailored to patients' dietary needs.
  • Offer patient-centred medical nutrition therapy to motivate dietary and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with allied health professionals and doctors to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Plan and deliver nutrition-related health talks and workshops for patients and the community.

Education, Research/Improvement and Administration

  • Train healthcare professionals on current nutrition topics and guidelines.
  • Contribute nutrition-related articles and manage media inquiries.
  • Participate in clinical improvement projects and nutrition research studies.
  • Organize community outreach programs, including public talks and workshops.
  • Support dietetics students during their community placements.
  • Stay updated on current nutrition practice guidelines and provide administrative support in the dietetics area.

🔍 Skills Crucial to Succeed in This Role!

🌱 Keen interest in primary care dietetics work

🗣️ Proficient in written/spoken English with the ability to speak Mother Tongue and/or dialects

️ Compassionate and able to demonstrate empathy

🔍 Resourceful, able to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team

🚀 Self-motivated and shows a strong sense of initiative

💬 Good communication and interpersonal skills

📊 Good analytical skills

🗂️ Good administrative and organizational skills

💻 Computer literacy is required

🌍 Willingness to work at different polyclinic locations from time to time

 

🎓 Preferred Qualifications & Experience!

🕒 At least 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience in healthcare settings with Dietetic Services

📚 Bachelor / Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
