We are leading an AI Lab, pioneering in the field of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Our mission is to revolutionalise the way AI models are developed and deployed, making it accessible and efficient for healthcare use. We are committed to creating an AI platform that empowers data scientists and engineers to bring their AI models from conception to production seamlessly.

Successful candidate will be part of a team of Data Scientists who partner clinicians to propose, develop, and implement advanced Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Models and pipelines to augment clinical workflows in NHG cluster. The candidate will also ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the models and tools for NHG.

Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Research and develop machine learning models in various clinical areas such as clinical notes, medical images, and patients’ data
Develop, train and test AI models in the local medical domain
Work with the service team to design and architect the workflow of the data and algorithms including data input, output, and storage between various health IT systems
Lead in the gathering of requirements and data by working and coordinating with clinicians and other relevant internal and external stakeholders
Work with the service team to develop and deploy necessary AI models for NHG
Document clearly explaining how the algorithms have been implemented, verified, and validate

Education Minimum Requirement:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields with strong statistical modelling and machine learning skills
Master’s degree in related fields is preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

Hands-on experience in the development of end-to-end data analytics solutions and machine learning pipeline including data exploration/extraction/crawling, data processing, and model building
Hands-on experience on development of AI models in NLP is a plus
Proficient in programming in AI related frameworks in any relevant language (e.g. R, Python)
Knowledge and experience in machine learning platform and services from cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure
Familiarity with healthcare data, medical image is a plus
Experience in leading AI projects and virtual team
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technically and non-technically with ability to translate between the two
Experience with Health IT, EMR systems like EPIC/NGEMR is an advantage.
Experience with data engineering in healthcare systems is an advantage
