Key Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Lead your specialty team in delivering exceptional patient care whilst advancing clinical excellence and shaping clinical practice within your medical specialty
  • Provide comprehensive patient care management working closely with fellow healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, multidisciplinary care across Singapore's integrated public healthcare system
  • Offer guidance, teaching, and training to staff at all levels, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and fostering their clinical development
  • Participate actively in intra- and interdepartmental projects, clinical committees, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned by the Head of Department
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop clinical protocols, implement best practices, and drive innovation in patient care delivery
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the department through leadership in clinical excellence initiatives and innovative patient care programmes
  • Demonstrate strong leadership abilities in fast-paced healthcare environments whilst maintaining adaptability to evolving clinical situations and organisational changes
  • Maintain excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams, utilising strong command of spoken and written English across diverse clinical interactions

Mandatory Requirements

  • Be registrable with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and Singapore Accreditation Board (SAB), meeting all criteria for medical qualifications (both local and foreign trained candidates must satisfy SMC and SAB registration requirements)
  • Hold appropriate legal status to work in Singapore - Singapore citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, or foreign candidates with valid work authorization (Employment Pass, S Pass, or other applicable work permits)
  • Be eligible for or possess a current and valid SMC practising certificate that permits clinical practice in Singapore
  • Maintain a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate demonstrating competency in emergency resuscitation procedures

Hold valid medical malpractice indemnity coverage providing appropriate professional liability protection for clinical practice
