WHC Department of Medicine is a developing team of dynamic and committed physicians, serving the needs of an aging population with multi-morbidity, yet retaining the capacity to deliver the specialized care when required. All physicians within Medicine department will contribute to general medical work in inpatient setting. Outpatient work will be predominantly specialty related but with an emphasis on integration of care. We will support development in niche areas that are aligned with organizational goals.
 
We are looking for Infectious Disease specialists to provide holistic, patient centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal applicant will have strong knowledge and skills in acute and internal medicine, open to the challenges of service development, resilient and flexible in the face of rapid change, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, experience in antimicrobial stewardship, outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy or infection prevention and control would be desirable.
 
Physicians will lead the healthcare teams in their respective areas and work closely with fellow healthcare professionals in providing holistic care to patients. In addition, they will be involved in teaching and guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students and other healthcare providers. They may also be involved in intra- and interdepartmental projects and committees, such as antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control, as well as any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
 
 
Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent and relevant postgraduate qualification (eg MRCP, FRACP, ABIM);
  • Those with at least 2 years of specialist working experiences can apply as Consultant;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong adaptability to changes;
  • Strong command of spoken and written English;
  • Registered (or meet registration criteria) as a Specialist with Singapore Medical Council
