Co-Ordinator
Duties & Responsibilities
- Planning of duty roster for each team (Kitchen Assistants)
- Preparing the kitchen assistants for operations based on their daily tasks.
- Provide training for new kitchen assistants.
- Work with Dietician & Speech Therapist on modified consistency and therapeutic diets.
- Assist with the development and setting up of EMOS.
- Assist with participating and coordinating of EMOS related meetings with Nursing, Dietician and Speech Therapist.
- Ensure all Meals Trolley in the Staging Cold Room are chilled prior to the assembly of meals.
- Ensure all meals for patients are plated, assembled accurately prior to dispatch and dispatched on time to the wards.
- Ensure all requests for additional meals are issued within the stipulated time frame.
- Assist the supervisor in attending to patients’ complaints together with the Sous Chef / Chef de Parties to follow-up and ensure patients are satisfied with the action taken within the means defined by the hospital.
- Ensure all receiving, offices, kitchen doors are locked before closing.
- Managing of bulk meal orders for staff, compile and prepare for all catering orders submitted to Food Services.
- Assist in preparing safe meals for patients with special diet or requirements.
- Collate diet slips, meal orders and prepare daily meal summaries for food preparation.
- Assist in the compilation of monthly meal statistics.
- Coordination with various kitchen sections and preparation of basic items necessarily for a smooth backend daily operation.
- Assist in delivery and serving of meals for inpatients and in-house event.
- Handle email, telephone and tiger-text enquiries and feedbacks, while always displaying proactive communication etiquette.
Requirements
- Minimum GCE “N” / “O” Level or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in F&B and/or in hospital industry
- Equipped with Basic Food Hygiene Certificate as per NEA regulations.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Able to work 6 days / week, rotating shift including weekends and Public Holidays
