Biomedical Engineer, 3D Printing Centre
As an Engineer in 3D Printing Centre (3DP), your job responsibilities include the following:
- Plan, set up, and execute mechanical and biomechanical tests on components, prototypes, and assemblies,
- Operate and maintain Instron or equivalent mechanical testing systems (tensile, compression, fatigue, and shear testing).
- Analyze and present test results using Excel, MATLAB, or equivalent platforms — including data plotting, statistical summaries, and trend analysis.
- Prepare technical reports, visual summaries, and presentations to communicate test outcomes effectively.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to integrate test feedback into the product lifecycle.
Job Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of biomechanical principles and experience in mechanical and materials testing.
- Proficient in the use of Instron or equivalent test systems for tensile, compression, and fatigue testing.
- Skilled in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, Python, Origin, etc.).
- Experience in medical device, biomechanics, or materials R&D environments.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) or digital image correlation (DIC) techniques.
- Understanding of quality systems and regulatory frameworks (ISO 13485, FDA).
- Experience with CAD or 3D modeling software for illustrating test setups or designs.
