MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Specific

  1. Participate in day to day operations of the clinic, and ensure smooth running of Audiology Service in the clinic
  2. Conduct audiological assessments
  3. Provide hearing aid services such as hearing aid evaluation, hearing aid fitting, hearing aid follow-up and hearing aid troubleshooting
  4. Conduct hearing aid validation and verification
  5. Facilitate aural (re)habilitation
  6. Liaise with relevant stakeholders / other professionals regarding case management or clinic related matters
  7. In addition to core services above, Audiologist is to perform at least one of the specialised services below depending on Audiologist's competency and sub-speciality interest

             i. Implant service

            ii. Tinnitus management

           iii. Vestibular assessment

General

  1. Perform basic biological equipment checks to determine proper functioning of test equipment
  2. Maintain equipment to ensure that they are in working order
  3. Maintain inventory for demo hearing devices and clinic consumables
  4. Order hearing devices, accessories and consumables
  5. Manage patient appointment bookings
  6. Supervise Audiometric Technicians / Senior Audiometric Technicians / Audiologists and provide on-the-job training, as required
  7. Participate in adhoc hearing screening and outreach events
  8. Participate in training and education in Audiology related matters
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Education / Training / Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Audiology from overseas universities OR Master's degree in Audiology from either the National University of Singapore or overseas universities
  2. Minimum of 200 clinical hours as part of curriculum requirements before graduation is required for fresh graduates
  3. Minimum of 6 months on-the-job training supervised by Principal Audiologist / Senior Audiologist / Audiologist is required
  4. Maintain a minimum required competency level in annual competency reviews
  5. Computer literate
  6. Relevant paediatric Audiology experience is preferred
