OVERVIEW

The Assistant Manager / Manager will provide strategic administrative and operational coordination for the Rehabilitation Programme across the domains of research, innovation, and capability development.

This role focuses on programme governance, institutional coordination, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and operational execution to ensure the effective implementation and scaling of the programme initiatives across NHG institutions.

The incumbent will serve as a central coordination node between clinical leaders, institutional partners, and cluster management, ensuring alignment of the programme activities with NHG’s strategic priorities. He/She will oversee progress tracking, documentation, and reporting to AHS management, while facilitating cross-institution collaboration to drive programme growth and sustainability.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the incumbent is expected to demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage competing priorities while aligning with strategic objectives. The role requires a proactive, self-driven individual who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, anticipating operational needs, and taking ownership to ensure timely execution of programme deliverables.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Programme Governance & Strategic Coordination

  • Provide strategic and operational support to the programme Chair/Co-Chair in planning, executing, and monitoring programme initiatives.
  • Coordinate programme workplans, timelines, governance meetings, and follow-up actions across research, innovation, and capability development workstreams.
  • Translate strategic directions into actionable plans and ensure timely delivery of programme milestones and KPIs.

2. Stakeholder & Institutional Alignment

  • Facilitate coordination across NHG institutions to support alignment and expansion of programme initiatives.
  • Serve as the key liaison between clinical leads, operational teams, academic collaborators, and cluster management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

3. Reporting, Performance Monitoring & Risk Management

  • Consolidate programme data, achievements, and key metrics into structured reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for AHS leadership and governance platforms.
  • Monitor progress against deliverables, identify risks or gaps, and escalate issues where necessary to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure documentation and reporting processes comply with institutional and cluster governance requirements.

4. Operational & Administrative Oversight

  • Provide administrative coordination for programme meetings, workshops, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Support compliance documentation, institutional submissions, and budget tracking processes where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure continuity and institutional knowledge.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience in programme administration, healthcare operations, academic coordination, or research management.
  • Familiarity with governance structures, reporting frameworks, and institutional coordination processes.
  • Experience supporting cluster-level or cross-institution initiatives is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with healthcare research, innovation initiatives, or academic clinical programmes will be an added advantage.
