Asst Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager/Manager, Group Management Development Office (MDO), plays a key role in driving leadership and talent development initiatives across National Healthcare Group (NHG). This role supports the strategic and operational direction in talent management and development, specifically in leading, designing ,reviewing and the execution of Management Development Programmes across NHG. The position requires working closely with key stakeholders (e.g. Institution Senior Management, Heads of Departments, Line Managers, Learning Partners) to build a strong leadership pipeline.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programme Management
- Lead and oversee the implementation of the three Management Development Programmes (Management Associate, Management Executive and Management Fellowship) across NHG, from recruitment to graduation.
- Develop and track the execution of the structured core curriculum, incorporating rotations, mentorship, study trips, developmental projects and more at Institutional level.
- Helm and review learning and development frameworks for the programmes, including competency-based training approaches.
- Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment to NHG’s strategic priorities and competency frameworks.
- Talent Development
- Work closely with Group Talent Management to establish and align programmes with organizational goals and leadership frameworks as well as to develop talent pipelines.
- Review and design structured leadership development interventions to support the trainees’ growth for a strong leadership pipeline.
- Collaborate with Senior Management, Institution MDOs and Group Talent Management to identify leadership capability gaps and develop synergistic programme components to address the needs effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Institutional Collaboration
- Serve as the key liaison between Group MDO and Institution MDOs to ensure alignment and consistency in leadership development efforts.
- Partner with Senior Management, Institution MDOs and Functional Heads to drive talent and leadership initiatives.
- Lead and oversee the leadership engagement initiatives such as Fireside Chats, Networking and Coaching at Group level.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across NHG to strengthen leadership management and development capabilities.
- Operational Support
- Establish governance structures for Management Development Programmes at Group level.
- Prepare reports, analytics and insights on programme’s pipeline strengths, performance and progress for senior leadership.
- Support budget planning and operational execution of leadership development initiatives.
- Work with Management Development Programme Steering Committee for programme curriculum enhancements.
- Monitor external trends, innovations, and capabilities on talent management for adoption into NHG Management Development Programmes where appropriate to better engage, develop, and retain talent within organization.
- Provide regular MDO progress reports and status updates to NHG and institutions’ leadership.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field
- Experience
- At least 4 - 7 years of experience in talent management, leadership development, or HR-related roles.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in cross-institutional collaboration.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to handle competing priorities and project management skills
- Experience in programme management, including planning, execution, and evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to engage stakeholders at different levels.
- Strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex, multi-institutional environment.
- Possess consultative leadership skills and able to relate to young executives.
- Passion for leadership and talent development.
