JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE : Project Manager (Improving Diet Quality of Vulnerable Community-Dwelling Older Adults in Singapore)
DEPT/SECTION : Research Administration
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To support GERI’s research and to contribute to its development of a community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach in research projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC (100%)
- Engage research partners and conduct meetings using a CBPR approach.
- Develop a CBPR toolkit with PI and Research Administration team.
- Assist with DSRB applications and other administrative matters.
- Collect data and assist with data analysis.
- Assist with report / manuscript / grant writing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Essential: at least five (5) years of work experience in a senior or managerial position in social service agencies in Singapore
- Essential: at least three (3) years of experience working with community-dwelling seniors in Singapore
- As the project involves communicating with isolated seniors, candidate must be multilingual with the ability to speak at least one of the following: Mandarin, Chinese dialects, Malay or Tamil
- Degree in social work, health sciences or social sciences
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good insight into how things work in the community
- Research experience in health and social care will be an advantage
