Asst Manager / Manager, Clinical Standards & Improvement
Job Description
- Provides leadership in the development, implementation, evaluation and change management of clinical quality and patient safety strategies, programmes and initiatives.
- Lead the team in the Identification, analysis, and evaluation of clinical incidents. Develop appropriate, feasible interventions and solutions to improve safety in process and workflow design identified from clinical incidents.
- Identify existing and emerging clinical risks in the organisation, coordinate and participate in designing corresponding risk management measures.
- Supports the design and development of the hospital’s patient safety strategies, training curriculum, conducts training programmes and assess the effectiveness of the training programmes.
- Supports the planning and implementation of department workplans and functions.
Education
- Degree, preferably in Medicine, Nursing or Allied Health (e.g. Pharmacy, Physiotherapy etc) or relevant studies from an accredited university.
- Certification in human factors or data analytics would be an added advantage.
Experience
- At least 4 years of clinical experience or relevant working experience in healthcare. Involvement in quality improvement programmes would be an added advantage.
- Experience in applying/using quality management principles and tools.
- Experience in human factors analysis or data analytics.
Skills Required
- Adept in processing, analyzing, reporting and presenting large amounts of data.
- Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills coupled with excellent leadership, good stakeholder engagement and people management skills.
- Meticulous and proactive.
