Asst Director
The Innovation & Improvement (I&I) Office plays a strategic role in positioning Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Community Hospital (KTPH & YCH) for future success. I&I is dedicated to driving organisational changes that enhance the hospital’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives efficiently and effectively. I&I focuses on achieving superior outcomes in process, service and quality improvement through:
- Leveraging Data and Insights: Using data-driven approaches to support decision-making, assess performance gaps and guide improvement efforts.
- Facilitating Innovation: Encouraging and implementing new ideas that enhance operational efficiency, patient care and organisational effectiveness.
- Building Capabilities: Strengthening the hospital’s ability to continuously improve through training, coaching and structured methodologies.
The Assistant Director is responsible for leading data-driven innovation and systemic improvement projects across clinical and operational teams. This role involves facilitating continuous improvement efforts, managing change initiatives, and developing organisational capabilities through the effective use of data, insights and innovation strategies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- SPECIFIC
- Data & Analytics: Provide leadership in interpreting data trends, formulating insights and driving recommendations that support the desired project outcomes and business case.
- Innovation & Systemic Improvement: Develop, plan, and implement strategic innovation and improvement efforts to fulfil identified business needs and achieve the desired outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and facilitate opportunities for improvement that align with KTPH & YCH’s strategic priorities.
- Change Management and Culture Building: Lead efforts to cultivate a culture of innovation by guiding department through major transitions, including the operations of CHI@KTPH & YCH.
(B) GENERAL
- Support NHG Initiatives: Assist in new or revised NHG initiatives, programs, and events at the cluster level.
- Corporate Event Support: Assist in the planning and support of corporate events as necessary.
- Sharing and Hosting: Sharing with visitors on hospital’s improvement and innovation efforts and journey.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimally hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Experience in organisational development or transformation work.
- Comfortable with uncertainty in work assignments.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Excellent written, analytical and communication skills.
