Asst Director/ Manager, Operations (Eye)

Reporting to the Director, Ops (Eye), the Assistant Director will lead, guide and oversee operational activities; to partner clinical leads to effect patient centric initiatives; to assist the management in driving and implementing strategic plans; to undertake key development projects, and formulate business proposals for cost-effective and sustainable care models.

 

You will assist and complement the Director in working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and review the department’s strategies and work plans, with a view to deliver better value to patients and staff. This would include, but not limited to:

    • To optimize key resources’ utilization and ensure operational/cost effectiveness.
    • To effect and ensure appropriate corporate governance.
    • To develop and maintain a financially sustainable value delivery system
    • To contain costs actively and appropriately partnering with Finance.
    • To improve staff processes.
    • To put in place patient safety and quality assurance measures
    • To deepen TTSH’s service culture and improve patient satisfaction.
    • To benchmark our performance in delivering value to patients and staff.

 

You will also assist to develop and align the Department’s business plans with NHG’s and TTSH’s strategies and priorities, as provided in the strategic planning instruments including but not limited to the hospital, family group, and department level value dashboards.

You will also be identifying, monitoring, communicating, and reviewing the department’s value measures and lead indicators across areas assigned, and tie these indicators’ performance back to TTSH’s larger value delivery journey.

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

    • Preferably Bachelor’s Degree and above.
    • Preferably at least 8 years of relevant experience, of which at least 5 years involve management experience (experience in a large organisation setting will be advantageous).
    • Preferably experienced in healthcare management, especially in the domain of healthcare operations.
    • Experience in leading a team.
    • Driven, passionate and service-oriented.
    • Possess good organizational and coordination skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
