Asst Director, People Development (TTSH)

The candidate will assist the Director to develop and implement Learning and Development (L&D) strategies and plans to TTSH’s capability development programs. He/she will also support the building of learning partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions and training providers, to co-develop and/or leverage on learning platforms and latest andragogy. In addition, he/she will contribute to the collective leadership within TTSH to advance system/organisational excellence and health.   

 

Responsibilities

  1. Together with the Director, co-develop and implement the L&D strategies and frameworks for TTSH. Responsible for planning and operationalising these L&D strategies and frameworks.
  2. Work closely with TTSH HR and other stakeholders to undertake horizon-scanning and building of learning partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions and training providers, to co-develop and/or leverage on learning platforms and latest andragogy.
  3. Lead/collaborate with TTSH family groups in the program development and curriculum design of capability development programs.
  4. Plan and monitor the learning budget to support the L&D strategies and monitor the utilisation of the funds.
  5. Work closely with learning partners, training vendors to develop curriculum and deliver the learning content, via the learning platforms and using the latest andragogy.
  6. Design strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, tracking participation rate and the return on investment.
  7. Assist in the monitoring of key deliverables of the People Development team.
  8. Lead/support in the development and implementation of workforce transformation projects to advance TTSH’s organisational excellence and health to better deliver its mission.

 Requirements

  1. At least 10 years of relevant experience, of which at least 5 years should involve supervisory roles.
  2. Deep expertise in curriculum design and training capability development.
  3. Experience in operational process improvement and quality management.
  4. Prior experience or knowledge of hospital administration is preferred.
  5. Good leadership, interpersonal, and staff engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate with all levels of staff.
  6. Possess an analytical mind with a propensity towards continuous learning and improvement.
