Position: Associate Executive (BMU Operations) 

Department: Bed Management Unit/ Dept of Emergency and Crisis Care 

 

 

Job Description: 

Supports the administrative and logistical function of the Bed Management Unit (BMU). 

 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Coordinates bed assignments and allocation based on patient needs, acuity levels and specialised care requirements. Works closely with clinical staff (i.e. inpatient nursing teams and Emergency Services (ES) team) to facilitate timely admissions and transfers. 

  1. Fosters strong relationships with nursing teams, ES staff and other stakeholders to resolve bed assignment challenges effectively. 

  1. Prepares regular reports on bed status to update stakeholders. 

  1. Performs secretariat duties such as managing and planning the weekly clinical adviser roster and coordinating and arranging regular meetings with various stakeholders. 

  1. Provides operational and logistical support for the department, such as the purchasing and maintenance of office inventory 

  1. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or HOD.

Educational and Professional Requirements 

  1. Diploma holder/ GCE ‘O’ Level  

  1. Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in healthcare 

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
