Assistant Manager
This person will be part of the Clinician Scientist Development Office (CSDO) in NHG Health Group Research and Innovation (GRI). He/She will be expected to lead and coordinate a diverse array of projects, plan and administer various initiatives related to research and innovation talent development and collaborate with other offices in GRI. While a brief JD is given below, details are provided under section 4.
- Lead the management of NHG Health intramural Clinician Scientist (CS) Development Programmes such as CSPP and CSPP+, including programme quality improvement, pre- and post-award administration to support clinicians onboard the programmme and management reporting.
- Facilitate matching of applicants with appropriate mentors
- Lead preparations and end-to-end execution of bi-annual Call for Applications, from publicity to application review and award issuance
- Oversee claim verification, follow-up for missing documentations and liaise with GRI Finance and 1FSS colleagues to process project claims
- Track budget utilisation and progress of each awardee for reporting purpose
- Advise and process various amendments such as budget adjustments, time extension and funding of non-standard items
- Advise on programme curriculum
- Lead secretariat for strategic and working committees such as the NHG Health-LKCMedicine Clinician Scientist Review Committee (CSRC)
- Manage schedules of key stakeholders for meeting arrangements
- Support pre-meeting (e.g. agenda and pre-read materials) and post-meeting (e.g. minutes) activities
- Follow-up on matters arising and liaise with relevant stakeholders
- Provide strategic support to committee chairs in agenda setting and decision-making processes
- Lead the co-development of new Continuing Education Training (CET) programmes for research and innovation capability development, such as Graduate Cert, Fleximasters, etc
- Plan and facilitate monthly meetings between stakeholders (NHG Health & LKCMedicine).
- Lead active follow-up on matters arising and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate talent trajectory development for CSPP & CSPP+ awardees
- Collaborate with CSDO programme managers to develop individualised career development pathways
- Conduct regular follow-up with clinicians to discuss their progress, and provide guidance on preparing for advancement to the next programme level or external opportunities.
- Maintain comprehensive talent tracking systems to monitor awardees’ research achievements and development milestones.
- Support CSDO / Academy of Clinician Scientists & Innovators (ACSI)-led initiatives such as mentorship matching, CS and CI profile showcases and publicity efforts
- Assist in publicity efforts through documenting and communicating success stories or learning points from the intramural talent development programmes.
- Contribute to the maintenance of mentor/mentee databases, coordinate introductions, and develop matching criteria based on expertise and career goals.
- Support maintenance of researcher and innovator profiles hosted on public platforms, coordinate professional content, and ensure consistent branding across platforms.
- Lead/partake in intra- and inter-departmental projects as and when required
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Education/Training/Experience
- At least a good Bachelor Degree with at least 2 years of experience in grant / administrative support in biomedical/clinical research or medical affairs.
- Adept at using MS Excel for data tracking and analysis
- Experience in talent development / project management / grant management is an added advantage.
