Assistant Manager, Corporate Development (Corporate Planning)

The Assistant Manager will be responsible to lead and manage enterprise-level planning processes and corporate governance support for hospital senior leadership. The role is critical in aligning strategic goals with organizational performance, managing integrated planning cycles, and modernizing corporate processes through digital and AI-enabled innovations.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic and Integrated Planning

  • Support the Hospital CEO, C-suite, and Senior Management Team in:
  • Hospital-wide strategic retreats and annual planning offsites.
  • Development and cascade of hospital strategic plans and Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
  • Coordination of the annual Work Plan and enterprise planning cycle.
  • Scenario planning and foresight analysis.
  • Facilitation and management of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process.

 

2. Corporate Governance and Decision Support

  • Manage key corporate platforms that enable decision-making and oversight:
  • Maintain and optimize the performance and governance portal.
  • Administer platforms for Senior Management Team (SMT) deliberations and tracking.
  • Support and coordinate strategic appointments of key management committees and department Heads of Departments (HODs) or appointment holders.
  • Policy harmonization and corporate guideline issuance.

 

3. Corporate Process Management and Innovation

  • Oversee the design, review, and continual improvement of key corporate workflows and SOPs.
  • Harness AI tools to automate and enhance efficiency of corporate processes.
  • Support initiatives for redesigning governance and planning workflows to align with evolving organizational needs.

 

4. Internal & External Stakeholder Engagement and Protocol Support

  • Contribution to strategic communications, e.g., corporate reports, management townhalls.
  • Plan and manage visits from Ministry officials, regional/international delegations, and other VIP stakeholders.
  • Ensure visit content and experience aligns with strategic positioning and messaging.

 

5. Data and Insight Integration

  • Integrate performance, risk, and strategic data into coherent planning dashboards or reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., analytics, finance, quality, clinical services) to derive insight for senior leadership decision-making.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Policy, or related field.
  • At least 5–7 years’ experience in corporate planning, strategy, or healthcare operations.
  • Strong understanding of planning methodologies (e.g., BSC, ERM, integrated planning cycles).
  • Experience with governance and performance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and digital tools (e.g., AI, workflow automation).
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in facilitating senior management meetings and writing high-quality board-level papers.
  • Innovation mindset with practical understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Strong organizational and execution skills in complex, matrixed healthcare environments.
