Key Responsibilities and Duties

Futures Planning
Support Futures Planning work, including but not limited to the following:

  • Analysing past trends
  • Scanning for and researching changes that are taking place or expected to take place
  • Making forecasts based on both qualitative and quantitative assessments
  • Facilitating Futures Planning workshops for internal audience

 

Strategic Planning

  • Support Strategic Planning work and related activities such as the Leadership Strategic Advance.
  • Develop a planning guidance for departments based on national and organizational priorities, both in the short and long term
  • Ensure alignment of strategic priorities in departmental workplans and organize workplan reviews with senior management

 

Corporate Performance Management

  • Ensure alignment of evaluation metrics to the strategic priorities
  • Fine-tune and manage the evaluation of departmental and organizational performance indicators.

 

Go-Live Operations Workgroup – Secretariat (pre-campus opening)

  • Engage relevant stakeholders in assigned workgroups and/or taskforces to coordinate and ensure timely progression of work streams and submission of relevant updates
  • Provide support towards the delivery of relevant and necessary reports for senior management reporting at relevant platforms
  • Monitor and ensure timely execution of key milestones in the overall Go- Live timeline

Job Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline from a recognised institution
  • For Assistant Manager: Minimum 7 years’ experience undertaking roles related to futures and/or strategic planning. Experience in a healthcare or life sciences environment is preferred.
  • For Manager: Minimum 9 years’ experience undertaking roles related to futures and/or strategic planning. Experience in a healthcare or life sciences environment is preferred. In addition, supervisory and/or leadership experience is necessary.
  • Ability to break out of the status quo and project your thinking beyond existing boundaries
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make judgements based on evidence, balancing possibility, probability and significance
  • Good background in strategic planning and management.
  • Strong people/relationship management experiences.
