Assistant Manager, Clinical Transformation
1. Job Purpose
- The Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's strategic growth and development in the area of Value Based Care (VBC) under Clinical & Academic Development. The responsibilities include developing indicators and dashboards to monitor clinical outcomes, analysing healthcare services consumption and utilization, and identifying areas for improvement. The individual will also need to work closely with stakeholders in their role of developing indicators and dashboards.
- Additionally, the Assistant Manager will assist the Manager in leading stakeholders engagement in strategic planning across NHG, contribute to work plan formulation, and collaborate with cluster-wide multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Synapxe, and other key partners, to support the VBC strategy and enhance collaboration to align processes and resource planning with the VBC strategy.
- Furthermore, the individual will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, other data analysts, the Finance department, and IT teams to provide inputs to enhance the data mart and facilitate data sharing to drive value-based care initiatives across the NHG cluster.
- The individual will also assist the Manager in streamlining the team’s effort to scale up the development of dashboards and drive initiatives to enhance the team’s efficiency in the accessing and utilizing data, and to enhance the VBC team coordination with stakeholders.
2. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operationalise VBC Dashboards which include indicators from MOH’s VDC (Value Driven Care) conditions and NHG-aligned indicators
- Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on indicators for Value measurements that would track NHG’s progress in delivery of value to patients, NOKs and staff. This will include but not be limited to the following objectives:
- To optimize key resources’ utilization and ensure cost effectiveness
- To work with institutions to develop and maintain a financially sustainable value delivery system
- To benchmark NHG’s performance across the other 2 clusters and internationally (where apt) in delivering value to patients, NOKs and staff, and encourage a culture of sharing best practices
- Supports in the analysis of data & other relevant resources to assess opportunities that will achieve the desired results for both patients and providers.
- Prepare regular quarterly reports, meeting papers, and presentation materials for senior management and MOH.
- To undertake any other duties assigned by the Supervisor
3. JOB REQUIREMENTS
(a) Education/Training/Experience
- Minimally a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 3 years of working experience
- Proven track record of using Tableau for visualization and analysis, along with a strong understanding of data management and interpretation to drive impactful decision making
- Relevant experience in Project Management, Data Analytics and/or proficiency in programming language such as Python and/or R and visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Experience in lead/co-lead facilitation of discussion in diverse groups
- Proven ability to interact with and influence stakeholders across the care spectrum
- To be a change agent and to inculcate mindset change for cross-institutional hospital-wide initiatives and to establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork
