Assistant Manager, Clinical Quality, Performance & Value

The Assistant Manager will be responsible in the administrative, management and coordination of the clinical quality, patient safety, clinical risk, quality improvement programmes across KTPH.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  SPECIFIC

 

  1. Perform the administrative, management and coordination of the YH’s patient safety, clinical risk, and quality improvement programmes such as mortality and morbidity review, clinical quality review, focused clinical audits, clinical indicators analysis and reporting, hospital incident reporting, and serious reportable events.
  2. Identify clinical issues by various means, e.g., case review, incident reporting, clinical quality data analytics, which may require escalation and further investigations and subsequent recommendation development and implementation by working with relevant stakeholders to facilitate quality improvement initiatives in KTPH.
  3. Collect, analyse and monitor the performance for clinical indicators and provide updates to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner. To integrate and provide data analytics for clearer oversight and support clinical decision-making capabilities to improve clinical care.
  4. Provide secretariat support to Clinical Board and its Quality Assurance subcommittees, and SRE committee within KTPH. Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve these issues and ensure high standards of clinical practice. Manage the investigations with various departments and reporting of corrective actions and recommendations to Ministry of Health, when required.
  5. Support, coordinate and manage patient safety programmes and workshops, and engagement of the clinical quality initiatives, e.g., Human Factors Workshop for the optimal participation, Clinical Practice Improvement Programme, Harm Reduction Collaborative initiatives etc. across KTPH and National Healthcare Group to ensure sustainability.
  6. Prepare annual Clinical Board paper and presentation related to the Quality Assurance subcommittees, when required.
  7. Adopt best practices as well as collaborating with relevant external and internal stakeholders. Inculcate a culture of clinical quality and patient safety, which may include raising staff awareness of quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Advance the profile of CQPV in the areas of quality improvement and patient safety across KTPH.

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer and Assistant Chairman Medical Board, CQPV.
  2. Embrace continuous improvement as our way of life by improving and refining work performance on a daily basis.
  3. Senior Assistant Manager will take on the supervisory roles or special projects, as directed by supervisor and Assistant Chairman Medical Board, CQPV.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in medical, nursing or allied health profession or equivalent
  • Post-graduate qualifications in management or healthcare administration or public health preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience or relevant experience in other settings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player, good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

 

PROFESSIONAL LICENCE

  • Clinical Practice Healthcare Qualification certification preferred
