Executive/Senior Executive/Assistant Manager/Manager, Office of Clinical Manpower Development and Medical Affairs

The role will support the Chairman, Medical Board (CMB) and the clinical departments to ensure the provision of a comprehensive range of services to support doctors’ professional practice in KTPH & YCH.

 

Overview of key responsibilities of various portfolios available in the department

  1. Hospital Licensing and Clinical Policies
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Institution on all matters related to the Healthcare Services Act (HCSA) licensing and Levels of Medical Capability (LMC) for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH), Yishun Community Hospital (YCH), and Admiralty Medical Centre (ADMC).
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely document submissions, maintain licensing and accreditation compliance, and meet all HCSA requirements.
  • Support the development, review and updating of policies in accordance with current legislation and best practices.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to achieve successful licensing and accreditation outcomes for KTPH, YCH and ADMC.

 

  1. Doctors’s Professional Matters
  • Serve as the institution’s primary liaison on doctors’ professional matters with Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
  • Maintain oversight and support doctors on matters relating to SMC’s Supervisory Framework for T-reg and C-reg doctors.
  • Support the administration of an accreditation and credentialing programme for clinical staff including doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate coverage in the renewal of Medical Malpractice Insurance and Practising Certificates.

 

  1. Training and Development
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to administer the Medical Observership and Clinical Fellowship programmes in KTPH & YCH.
  • Maintain an oversight on the compulsory courses for doctors and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure its relevance and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between MOHH and the institution/departments on junior doctors’ posting matters, and facilitate for their smooth posting in including logistics and orientations.

 

  1. Strategic and Medical Manpower Planning
  • Serve as the main liaison among internal and external stakeholders to establish service agreements and visiting consultant/staff appointments.
  • Support the ACMB for Medical Manpower and collaborate with key departments in managing and projecting for an optimal medical staffing levels to meet service demands.

 

  1. Administrative Support to CMB Office
  • Provide quality secretariat support to KTPH & YCH Clinical Board and CMB’s Monthly Meetings with Clinical HODs.
  • Work closely with HR to administer Clinical Leadership appointments and support the Clinical Leaders with their target setting to meet hospital and NHG’s targets.
  • Support and manage appointments and membership for all Clinical Board Committees and Workgroups.
  • Provide secretariat support for selected Clinical Board Committees and Workgroups.
