Assistant Director Total Rewards, C&B
JOB PURPOSE
As a lead in the GC&B team, with the support of a small team, plan and formulate C&B programmes and policies at the Group level for all Non-Medical Job Family Groups, so as to support NHG Group and its institutions in attracting, motivating and retaining the right talents to support business strategies.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
C&B Partner
- Act as a key partner for all Non-Medical C&B work, including working directly with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes work with Ministry on key sectoral C&B alignment, salary review, policy and cost matters relating to non-medical areas.
- Work together closely with site HR on any policy change/deviation request to understand institutional needs and find solutions taking into consideration the system-wide impact. Review/propose recommendations and follow through to get necessary approvals from Senior Management
- Provide guidance on interpretation of C&B policies and practices. Provide consultative support and work with institutions under the NHG Group to roll out C&B programmes
General C&B
- Manage C&B projects for Non-Medical family groups end-to-end, conceptualise, simulate and implement strategies and manage change management.
- Stay abreast of compensation developments for healthcare, and economic indicators to support C&B strategies and initiatives. Keep abreast of local C&B best practices and legislative changes to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with Policy team on review of Group HR policies and HR information systems to ensure alignment with changes to C&B programmes
- Anchor job evaluations and job levelling exercises for NHG
- Manage Collective Agreement Negotiations (2-3 year once) and work with the Chief Lead for all union related matters that impacts bargainable staff as and when activated.
- Work closely with Group Finance on annual budget planning and assumptions for Non-Medical family groups.
- Participate in other ad-hoc HR projects and activities at the Group HR level as required
Total Rewards
- For Non Medical family groups, be a strong partner with the Group HR teams managing the annual performance management exercise from moderation to planning rewards framework. This includes managing timelines for annual compensation rewards (increment and bonuses)
- Prepare data/analysis, design compensation levers for review with Senior Management
- Anchor Group Benefits reviews for Non Medical family groups, including annual group insurance reviews.
- Work closely with GCHRO/GC&B team on the implementation of any structure compensation and rewards framework changes for Non Medical Family Groups, such as target total compensation framework for senior leaders, retention and incentive plans.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training/Experience
- Min Degree in HR Related field / Business Admin or equivalent
- At least 10 years relevant working experience in the area of Compensation & Benefits, and experience in healthcare is preferred
- Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in total rewards including salary structure design, salary reviews, market benchmarking competitiveness studies, job evaluation.
- Hands-on knowledge in job evaluation methodologies such as Korn Ferry Hay Group will be preferred.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced skills in Excel preferred
- Well-versed in local employment laws and regulations such as Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act etc.
- Past experience in HRIS project and implementation will be advantageous.
